Transfer Student Versus Sakura

A new student makes a striking entrance in Sakura's class: Meiling Li, Shaoran's cousin, also from Hong Kong, introduces herself right away as his fiancee and self-declared rival to Sakura, whom she regards with immediate suspicion and a fiery temperament.

Determined to prove her worth in Shaoran's eyes, Meiling tries to make her mark against a Clow Card that manifests shortly after her arrival, competing fiercely with Sakura to capture it first. This new three-way dynamic further complicates the balance between the young Cardcaptors, mixing clumsiness with flashes of temper.

Behind Meiling's outward rivalry and sharp remarks, an endearing personality gradually emerges -- loyal to Shaoran and, ultimately, not so hostile toward Sakura after all.
