Sakura's Extra Long Marathon

The school organizes a marathon or endurance race, an event dreaded by part of the class but one Sakura, an accomplished athlete, approaches with real motivation. Tomoyo, as always, gets ready to film every moment of her friend's performance.

What should have been an ordinary race turns into an endless ordeal when a Clow Card stretches or distorts the course, trapping Sakura in a race that seems to have no end. She has to draw on her reserves of energy and clear thinking to figure out the trick the card is playing on her and finally manage to capture it before total exhaustion sets in.

This episode honors Sakura's physical and mental tenacity, her ability to hold on even when the usual bearings of the world around her slip away. Crossing the finish line, once she finally does, carries the bittersweet taste of a victory earned through uncommon effort.
