Sakura and her Summer Vacation Homework

Summer vacation is coming to an end and Sakura realizes with horror that she's fallen hopelessly behind on her vacation homework, which she kept putting off in favor of card-capturing duties. Tomoyo, more organized, tries her best to help her catch up on lost time.

As she scrambles to finish her workbooks at the last minute, a Clow Card complicates matters further by disrupting her study environment, piling comical obstacle after comical obstacle between Sakura and her unfinished homework. She has to juggle this academic emergency with the need to capture the card before school starts again.

This resolutely comic episode is a tender reminder that, despite her extraordinary responsibilities as Cardcaptor, Sakura remains above all an ordinary schoolgirl subject to the same small anxieties as her classmates. Her determination to tackle everything at once, homework and magic alike, is as endearing as it is admirable.
