Sakura and the Crazy Sweets

A recently opened pastry shop in the neighborhood draws the whole group in, eager to try new treats. But the sweets they buy turn out to have rather unexpected effects on whoever tastes them.

The enchanted treats cause comical transformations and reactions in those who eat them, the clear signature of a mischievous Clear Card nestled in the shop. Sakura, caught between fits of laughter and caution, has to trace the source of the spell before things spiral out of control, with Shaoran's watchful help.

This lighter, more comic episode offers a welcome counterpoint to the season's more melancholy tone, without giving up the usual tenderness between the characters. Tomoyo, for her part, is particularly delighted by these situations, as absurd as they are photogenic.
