Sakura and Tomoyo's Lost Voice
A nasty cold strikes Tomoyo, who completely loses her voice on the eve of an important recording for the school choir. Sakura, worried for her most devoted friend, the one who never leaves her side without her camera, finds herself for once on the other side of the lens, trying to figure out how to help.
Kero quickly senses that a Clow Card is behind this sudden, abnormal loss of voice, and Sakura sets off to investigate while trying not to alarm Tomoyo. The capture proves tricky, since the card toys with sound and silence, and Sakura has to learn to act with discretion, unable to rely on her usual companion's verbal encouragement.
Robbed of her voice, Tomoyo finds other ways -- a look, a smile, a simple gesture -- to keep supporting Sakura no matter what, revealing just how far their friendship goes beyond words. The episode pays a lovely tribute to this unbreakable bond, while tenderly reminding us how irreplaceable a place Tomoyo holds in Sakura's heart.
