Sakura and the Snowy New School Term
Winter has settled over Tomoeda, and snow blankets the streets as the second term begins. Sakura happily reunites with her classmates, but there's a big surprise in store: a new student from Hong Kong bursts into her class, just as determined as she is familiar with Shaoran, whom she calls by his Chinese given name, Xiaolang, with an ease that puzzles everyone.
This newcomer, Meiling Li, introduces herself without hesitation as Shaoran's fiancee and immediately sees Sakura as a rival to watch closely, even challenging her on school grounds to prove her worth. Meanwhile, a Clow Card takes advantage of the cold and the surrounding commotion to manifest, forcing Sakura to juggle Meiling's provocations with her capture mission, all without ever losing her natural composure.
As the day goes on, despite Meiling's outward coldness, an unexpected closeness begins to grow between the two girls, each discovering a disarming sincerity in the other. Shaoran, for his part, finds himself torn between the past his cousin represents and the new bonds he's formed in Tomoeda, setting the stage for a season in which everyone's feelings will come into sharper focus.
