The Clear Card captures continue, each one revealing a little more of this new magic's deeply personal nature: Sakura must now draw on her own memories and feelings to give them shape, aided by a mysterious feather given to her by Shaoran that seems to play a key role in the process.

The connection between Kaito and Clow Reed's past comes into sharper focus, as do Akiho's true intentions, torn between loyalty to her guardian and sincere affection for Sakura and her friends. The mood turns more hushed, almost melancholy, carried by themes of loss and resilience that were only sketched in the original series.

Meanwhile, Sakura's middle-school life carries on as usual, between exams, outings with friends, and Tomoyo's warm but ever-exuberant presence, now armed with a whole new arsenal of cameras to immortalize her friend's exploits.
